Repeal the Seventeenth Amendment REPEALING Amendment Seventeen means restoring original intent to the Constitution, which calls for a Constitutional Convention by the States. The patriotic mission is for State Legislatures to invest in restoring their State's powers. The Seventeenth Amendment allowed a direct vote for U.S. Senators, which greatly weakened constitutional powers guaranteed to the States. Our restoration of our original Constitution movement needs citizens' vested interests. The founders of Jamestown, VA changed the course of history. Like wise, repealing Amendment Seventeen is reshapes America's policies by cutting federal bureaucracy, halting erosion of our personal freedoms, restoring local voter power with Senators directly answerable state legislatures.
